Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting your privacy at all times. This Privacy Policy sets out the basis on which we handle the personally identifying information (“Personal Data”) that we may collect and receive from and about you from time to time as a user of our website (www.compact-data.com) or services, or subscriber to our newsletter.  

Our Privacy Commitments
We will only collect, keep, use and share Personal Data for the legitimate business purposes of Compact Data and our affiliates, or where otherwise legally required to do so. We will be clear and open with you on what Personal Data we collect and how it will be used. Data Collection and Use
We may collect Personal Data from you through direct conversation with a member of the Compact Data team, or when you voluntarily submit information through the Compact Data website sign up or submission form.  Such Personal Data may include: your name, phone number, postal code and email address. 

We use your Personal Data to contact you in regard to services we provide to you or your company, invitations to Compact Collections events, or to deliver marketing messages relating to our services and activities (e.g. a newsletter).  We may also use your Personal Data to operate or improve our websites or services, to provide customer service, or to analyse and improve our products, services and technologies.

Data Sharing
We will not share your Personal Data with any third party except as stated in this Privacy Notice, as required to provide our services to you and administer your account, or otherwise as required or permitted by law.  We may, however, share your Personal Data with our parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies, or transfer Personal Data to third parties as a result of the sale, merger, consolidation, change in control, transfer of substantial assets, reorganisation or liquidation of Compact Data or its affiliates.

Data Export
Personal Data collected by us may be stored and processed in the United Kingdom, Canada, United States or any other country in which Compact Data, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies or agents maintain facilities, and by using our sites or services, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.   

Security
Compact Collections takes reasonable measures to protect the security of your Personal Data. We use current industry standard technology to maintain the confidentiality and accuracy of the information you provide to us. For example, we use secure servers with industry standard SSL 128-bit key encryption to protect your Personal Data. However, we cannot guarantee that any information you submit to us will be free from unauthorized third-party intrusion.

The Compact Data website has features that automatically collect information from you to assist us in recognising your preferences and serving your needs. The website uses cookies, which are small data files containing information about you that are stored on your hard drive. Some cookies are used to make login to the website easier (such as by remembering usernames and passwords). Others are used to enhance your browsing experience.  If you reject cookies, you may be limited in using some areas of the website. 

For our internal purposes, we may gather information such as the date, time, browser type, navigation history, and IP address of all visitors to our site(s). We use this information for our internal security audit log, trend analysis, and system administration, and to gather broad demographic information about our users on an aggregated basis.
